What you get
A low-EMF infrared blanket from the UK beauty-tech brand StylPro. It has adjustable heat and arm openings so you can use your phone or read, and it is one of the cheapest well-known blankets you can buy.
It takes under a minute to set up and fits 1 person, lying down. Low price, and arm openings. On the downside: fewer features than rivals.
The heat
You lie inside and zip it up. Infrared panels in the blanket warm you directly, and the temperature setting is for the blanket itself, so it feels gentler than sitting in a hot tent. Most people use one for 30 to 45 minutes, with a towel or cotton liner inside.
Running costs
StylPro does not publish the power use for the StylPro blanket. Most portable saunas use between 350 W and 1,500 W, which works out at roughly 5p to 20p for a 30-minute session at today’s prices. Check the label on the heater and use our running-cost calculator.
