What you get
A sleek far-infrared blanket from the Australian wellness brand behind the popular blue-light glasses. It rolls out, you slip inside and set the heat, and it packs away neatly. A good choice if looks matter, but there are cheaper blankets that heat just as well.
It takes under a minute to set up and fits 1 person, lying down. Sleek design, and well-known wellness brand. On the downside: £549 is high for a blanket.
The heat
You lie inside and zip it up. Infrared panels in the blanket warm you directly, and the temperature setting is for the blanket itself, so it feels gentler than sitting in a hot tent. Most people use one for 30 to 45 minutes, with a towel or cotton liner inside.
Running costs
BON CHARGE does not publish the power use for the BON CHARGE blanket. Most portable saunas use between 350 W and 1,500 W, which works out at roughly 5p to 20p for a 30-minute session at today’s prices. Check the label on the heater and use our running-cost calculator.
