What you get
A compact, easy-care far-infrared blanket from a UK wellness brand. It does the basics well and is regularly discounted from £399, which makes it a fair mid-price choice.
It takes under a minute to set up and fits 1 person, lying down. Often discounted, and easy-care outer. On the downside: full price is high.
The heat
You lie inside and zip it up. Infrared panels in the blanket warm you directly, and the temperature setting is for the blanket itself, so it feels gentler than sitting in a hot tent. Most people use one for 30 to 45 minutes, with a towel or cotton liner inside.
Running costs
Koanna does not publish the power use for the Koanna blanket. Most portable saunas use between 350 W and 1,500 W, which works out at roughly 5p to 20p for a 30-minute session at today’s prices. Check the label on the heater and use our running-cost calculator.
